ORGANIZE THE
3rd SINNAI INTERNATIONAL YOUTH WIND
BAND COMPOSITION COMPETITION
The "G.Verdi" Music Association with collaboration of the
Commune of Sinnai and Municipal Music School "G.Verdi" organize the 3th
Sinnai International Wind Band Compositions Competition in order to
promote, to increase and to disclose of the repertoire.
Art.1) - The Competition is open to composers of any nationality,
without age limit.
Every concurrent will be able to participate in the three sections with
more compositions, adhering itself to the guides lines elaborated from
the Technical Commission of the Tavolo Permanente delle Federazioni
Bandistiche Italiane, attached to the present regulations.
The compositions participants will have to be unknown, never executed
and not to have received prizes or signallings in other competitions,
pain the disqualification.
Art.2) - The competition previews three sections:
Section A) composition of a original work - Difficulty of
execution: Degree 1
Section B) composition of a original work - Difficulty of
execution: Degree 1,5
Section C) composition of a original work - Difficulty of
execution: Degree 2
Art.3) - The compositions can belong to any tendency, kind or
musical form, provided that answering to the technical indications
brought back in the lines guides attached to the present regulations.
SECTION A) -The composition must have of 1’ 30” minimal duration
and maximum of 3’ 00” approximately and realized for following organic:

parts while optional indicates that the instrument can be use if must
some preview the substitution, at least in and/or the only obliged parts)

SECTION B) - The composition must have of 2’ 30” minimal
duration and maximum of 4’ 30” approximately and realized for following
organic:

SECTION C) - The composition must have of 4’ 00” minimal duration
and maximum of 6’ 30” approximately and realized for following organic:

some preview the substitution, at least in and/or the only obliged parts)

Art. 4) - In order to participate to the Competition, the
composers must send to the Secretariat a containing parcel post:
- 4 (four) copies of the composition, in complete score,
rigorously anonymous form and deprive of any sign of acknowledgment,
title comprised it, enclosing audio CD (Mp3) of the introduced work.
Every copy must be marked, in clear and visible way, a maxim and must
indicate the approximate duration of the piece and bring back the
section which the composer means to participate.
1 (one) sealed
envelope, on which must appear the same phrase used to identify the
copies of the score which are closed inside it:
a) the inscription form, annexed to these rules of the competition,
carefully compiled in all its parts, with the declaration to be found at
the bottom, dated and signed;
b) two photographs of the competitor signed on the back;
c) a curriculum vitae (career and study details);
d) a copy of the payment of the inscription;
The documentation will have to reach within 15
April 2010 to the following address:

The time of postage of the
parcel will bear witness to the date.
Art.5) - The inscription cost is € 40,00 (forty euros) for
every work presented.
The fee will have be paid using current account to Banco di Sardegna,
Agenzia di Sinnai - (IBAN Code:
IT18S0101544030000000010468 - Swift Code: SARDIT 3SXXX) made
out to Associazione Musicale "G.Verdi" - to motive registration: 3th
Sinnai International Youth Wind Band Compositions Competition. (Bank
expenses are to be paid by the competitor).
Inscription fees cannot be refunded.
Art. 6) - The prizes assign to you from the jury will be
following:
SECTION A)
1st classified: € 2.000,00
2nd classified: € 1.000,00
SECTION B)
1st classified: € 1.800,00
2nd classified: € 900,00
SECTION C)
1st classified: € 1.600,00
2nd classified: € 800,00
The compositions will be analyzed from a Jury composed from personality
of clear reputation
international whose judgment is UNQUESTIONABLE.
The prizes assigned from the jury are indivisible and they agree to
clearly of the fiscal deductions.
Art.7) - The jury is reserved the faculty of not to assign the
prizes in case do not you judge of it worthyno of the compositions
reached. The judgment criteria will consider also the real feasibly from
the youth wind band. The Jury can also indicate those compositions that
they consider worthy of mention.
The Artistic Director of the competition is, by right, member of the
Jury.
Art.8) - The rewarded works will have to indicate, in publication
case, the name of the Competition and the respective section. The same
ones will be sent from the organization to the library of the CDMC (Conseil
Départemental pour la Musique et la Cultures de Haute Alsace) with
center to Guebwiller (France).
Art.9) - The organization will signal the rewarded compositions
and those eventually mentioned from the jury to Institutions and
national and international wind band competitions. Moreover, in virtue
of the convention stipulated from the organization with the associations
Österreichischen Blasmusikjugend and Österreichischer Blasmusikverband,
the rewarded pieces will be used in organized the juvenile competitions
of execution to Austria. The award ceremony will happen in occasion of
appropriate manifestation where the selected works will be executed in
first absolute to the presence of the authors who will be accommodated
to Sinnai from the organization.
Art.10) - The Secretariat will communicate to all the
participants the result of the competition, sending to every copy of the
extract of the verbal of the jury. To the winners of the three sections
the place will be communicated also, the day and the hour of the award
ceremony. These, within 15 days from the reception of the communication,
will have to make to reach the organization the parts detached of the
single instruments of the rewarded piece.
The winners are held to attend to the award ceremony.
Art.11) - Of the 4 (four) copies of the score sent, 1 (one) will
become part of the Musical Archive of the Contest, which will be
instituted at the Municipal Music School of Sinnai. The other copies,
for two years from the date of publication of the present notice, will
be available for the Authors that desire the restitution. This will take
place after a written request and payment of the expenses of postage.
Art.12) - The application to participate in the Contest implies
the unconditioned acceptance by the Competitor, of the present Rules,
and the consent of the use of personal information as far as lawful.
Art.13) - In case of disputes, the only valid legal text are the
present Rules in Italian, complete with the 13 (thirteen) articles and
the annex. The Court of Cagliari will have jurisdiction.
